Mission and vision
At Altra, we are committed to the development of effective community services in the field of mental health in Slovenia. The implementation of such services should take place in the local community or in the home environment. Our vision is to develop a range of professional services that offer people with mental health problems and their relatives greater choice, co-determination and participation in caring for the quality of life of the individual and his important others.
Altra is the oldest non-governmental organization in the field of mental health in Slovenia and is intended for adults with mental health issues.
We are committed to an individual approach that takes into account the differences in the needs and desires of the individual. Together with them, we try to find appropriate solutions to acute or long-term hardships and issues. In finding appropriate solutions, we work with various existing institutions and services that work for the benefit of the user. We strive to eliminate all kinds of prejudices against mental disorders and to eliminate discrimination against people with mental health problems and their relatives.
